Hotel vs Villa debate whilst staying in Orlando
Hotel Vs VIlla the debate
Hotel vs Villa? well, this is a debate I am sure lots of us have had previously and will have in the future. I am more than sure there is reasonable arguments and negatives for both but today I am quickly going to jot down some thoughts on each. The information I obtain will have come from a reputable UK based holiday company with costs and images but will be applied generally across my findings. I have to admit I would be happy with either but as a family, we would want it to be perfect when we go.
Hotels offer a level you simply wouldn’t get in a villa and most traditional holidays involve a hotel. a choice of board basis and a much wider range of choice with different hotels. Some hotels are even part of the parks and can walk from your bedroom straight in the front gates of a park. Big pools, slides and splash areas in the hotels may also seem beneficial as if we fancy a day off from the parks we can still chill out by the pool and relax. The hotel will employ staff that will clean your rooms and provides fresh linen and towels. Hotels are also easier when wanting a quick snack or drink.
One of the down sides which put me off a hotel is that your constantly a part of the action. You can’t just leave the park and head to the hotel and enjoy the peace and quiet. You are fairly confined to the surroundings of your room or apartment. Getting around would be by bus or shuttle service rather than a hire car(unless you pay more)
Villa’s are generally set away from the hustle and bustle of the hotel districts. Based in housing estate style areas they are fairly comfortable in what we would be used to. Most come with an individual pool to relax in and enjoy. With a villa, it would come with a hire car making getting around much easier. Chilling out will be much easier having separate room’s to give each of us our own space. The options that it would allow for others to come with us is a big plus, making the holiday cheaper.
downsides of a villa would be the social aspect. The kids do like to make friends whilst on holiday and this would limit that opportunity. I probably wouldn’t drink too much in Orlando but being restricted by a car might be an issue if we decided we wanted a drink one night. Having to either prepare our own food or eat out each night might be costly.
Hotel vs Villa The conclusion
Well, there is no definitive answer as yet and a lot more research needed. Either way, I am sure the holiday would be fantastic. If anyone reading this has any advice on what they would recommend and how they planned. So Hotel vs Villa at the moment is neck and neck, more research needed.
